What happens when an independently-minded financial services company and David Hasselhoff walk into a bar?
This may seem like the starting line of a joke you tell your mates around a braai with a beer in hand, but it’s not. David Hasselhoff is making waves as the ‘spokesperson’ for Fedgroup’s newest ad campaign.
“This idea came about through a serendipitous round-table discussion. It has been an incredibly collaborative process, with representatives from PR, strategy, media, agency and client meeting regularly to discuss the various aspects of launching the innovative Fedgroup Impact Farming platform,” says Jonathan Bain, from Bain & Bunkell, the agency who brought this campaign to life.
“We called his agent on the off-chance he’d be interested. He was. Brave clients at Fedgroup, Tim Allemann, Grant and Brett Field, took the leap,” Bain added. And so Hoff-magic happened.
Hassel-free investing for the movers and shakers
In a country where having a side hustle (or two) to make ends meet is a thing, Fedgroup is making investing Hassel-free for South Africans with their Impact Investing product. No need to have huge sums of cash stashed to get started. Aimed at our entrepreneurially-minded comrades; who have the ambition to leave their day job, but still need that day job to pay the bills.
Imagine hustling from your couch, or on the go with Fedgroup’s easy-to-use App. You can own profit-producing assets on fully functional commercial farms, without being the actual farmer. And, you’re investing in eco-conscious projects; solar, blueberry farms and beehives. Currently, you can own blueberry bushes for only R300 bucks each, and you can get paid for it. Now that’s a Hassel-free side hustle, right? Those with a bit more money can earn cash from solar farms (R 5 000 per panel) and beehives (R 4 000 each).
“The key benefit of Impact Farming is the ease of use. We’re taking out the complexity of investing and lowering the barriers to entry – you don’t need massive capital or expertise to get started,” says Tim Allemann, CMO of Fedgroup.
We farm. You earn. Hassel-free.
